Who are we

ABHS has qualified and competent professionals as Assessors and Internal Moderators who maintain the quality of the various competency training programmes. All our programmes are also peer -reviewed by external sources.

We build up professionals in line with the good scientific standards and ensure that equality and diversity within the profession is maintained. Our strategies for professional training are based on the AHCS standards.

All professionals can aspire to higher heights without barriers being set. As a result, the Association has been able to provide training programmes to assist its members in progressing through their career pathways without setting barriers or limitations, from unemployment into employment.

Governance

The Association of Biomedical Healthcare Scientists (ABHS) is a company limited by guarantee.

Our Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association provide the legal identity and specific powers we are permitted to operate within.

ABHS Council

The ABHS Council is our governing body and our members are expected to:

• Ensure clarity of the ABHS vision, ethos and strategic direction in the promotion of Healthcare Science – Life Sciences.
• Advise on educational policies and programmes to help the Association maintain (if not exceed) a good quality of provision and performance across Healthcare Science – Life Sciences.
• Help ABHS develop in all respects through strategic planning, fundraising, partnerships, recognition and stakeholder relations.
